Online Insurance Courses for CAIB

The Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) program is a series of four courses, culminating in an online exam, which gives you the nationally recognized professional designation of a property and casualty insurance broker. CAIB courses are designed to immerse you in the study of personal lines, commercial lines and brokerage management.

Online courses are delivered by ILScorp and taught by a long-time insurance educator. More than 80% of students who complete their CAIB exam preparation through ILScorp are successful.

Fundamentals of Insurance (FOI) is a pre-licensing course for beginning general insurance brokers, particularly those who are new to the industry. It provides a solid foundation of basic knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry. CAIB 1 builds on that knowledge by focusing on the practical application of habitational coverages; personal liability, accident and sickness; farm insurance; ICBC Autoplan; and insurance professionalism. CAIB 2 and CAIB 3 deepen your understanding of specialty commercial products such as crime insurance, business interruption and marine and aviation coverages. CAIB 4 prepares you to take on a leadership role by covering principles of management, organization, broker-carrier relations and technology.
